In this new and improved video on the kidney, Hazel teaches you about the ultrastructure of the kidney. She then goes into great detail on the structure of the nephron (glomerulus, Bowman's capsule, proximal convoluted tubule, Loop of Henle, distal convoluted tubule, collecting duct). Both ultrafiltration and selective reabsorption are described. The video also includes the role of ADH in osmoregulation and how dialysis and kidney transplants are used for treatments for kidney failure.

These videos are designed to help with your IGCSE and GCSE biology revision. This video is suitable for the AQA, CIE, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC exam boards.

SwH Learning is the new name for Science with Hazel.
