Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2021 Ram 1500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Air Lift EZ Mount WirelessAir compressor system. Before we get into that though, why don't we just take a minute, check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. Probably one of my favorite things about this system is the fact that it is wireless. So, you can control your compressor with your remote, right And so, say, if you're hooked up to your trailer or you need to make an adjustment, you don't have to keep grabbing an air hose and manually filling up your valves and taking a step back and looking to make sure your level or whatnot. You can just take your remote, and it reaches a pretty good distance, too, and set the air pressure accordingly.
The compressor will fire up, or if you need a lot of air out even, and you can see your adjustment made right there. And just in case, if you're wondering, the kit is gonna come with Ts that tap into your existing airlines. That way, you can still utilize your manual valves if you want to for whatever reason there. When it comes to actually picking out a compressor system, there's a lot of different options out there. And as of late, for the past couple of years, probably, this is the one I usually tend to recommend.
And I say it 'cause it works really good and I really like how it has the remote like we just talked about. Compared to the older style compressor systems that are analog where you actually have a gauge and a switch that you use to fill up the bags, those work fine, but in certain situations, they're just not ideal. And a lot of these late model trucks are a really good example of that. And really, you're just so limited on space. Where are you gonna put these gauges You got, essentially TVs in the dashboards now, buttons everywhere, there's just so much going on.
There's hardly any space because a lot of those gauges are relatively big and bulky and then you got airlines that run up through there and everything else. So, it just makes sense to have a wireless setup like this. All you got is a remote, right You can put this anywhere. And this one is Bluetooth compatible, too, on your phone, so you can control it with your phone, if that's something you're interested in doing. The compressor system is gonna work with all the different types of airbags.
It's not brand-loyal to any of them. So, whether you have Air Lift or Firestone or something else, it will pump air into them and work just fine. One of the things with airbags is maintenance, right, 'cause all of them are gonna require minimum pressure or the majority of them should I say. And this will eliminate that. You got these three presets up here. So, one of them is usually a maintenance one, right You got five pounds of air. That's, generally speaking, what they're gonna need. So, you don't have to go back there and mess around with the bags. Make sure they're in good, working condition from here on out. It's gonna prolong the life. Let's say, if you got a utility trailer, it pulls good at 20 pounds of air, you can set up two for that. And you can change these to your particular needs. Let's say, if you got your big camper or something and you know it takes a little more air, you got that third preset. So, you can just kinda go on the fly with it there. And then you can adjust these side to side as well. So, if you have it off center load, maybe the left side needs a few more pounds of air than the right, vice versa, you can do that. A lot of people probably won't bother doing that. And that kinda brings you to my next point, since this is dual path, you can use this system with onboard air. So, if you want a tank to maybe fill up a tire or something, you can run one path to that tank to be able to do that. Now, keep in mind, you're gonna lose the side to side individual adjustability, but like I said, most people are probably airing them up at the same rate anyway. And this will go up to 100 psi. That's what it's capable of. And generally speaking, for the common type airbags, that's their maximum pressure, so most of you will be covered out there. One of my personal favorite parts about the system is how easy it is to install and set up. I mean, it don't really get much more simple.
