Took two months! Love the drum



1 ply maple! 5.5x14"



1)Stripped the drum of old paint, stain, spray paint, and laquer.

2) Removed wrap glue embedded in shell.
3) Sanded for two weeks. 80/120/180 - don't go above 180 or the wood won't absorb dye as well as it could.



4) Dyed the drum with Trans Tint Red Mahogany liquid dye (read the pdf instructions on line - very helpful.)

6) 6 coats of tung oil with sanding in between - wait 24hrs - 400 grit

7) Bought original hardware, badge, throw, stainer, and repo lugs online.

8) Assemble.
