This dua was written by Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Nasir. It is associated with the resistance of Morocco against French forces. It is believed that the French government banned it's recitation in mosques, such was it's effect.

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Nasir was a theologian and founder of the Nasiriyya Sufi order. He himself followed the Shadhili Sufi order.
