I recently trimmed my hair and wanted to gain my inches back so I decided to do a protective style for a long period of time. So I kept my cornrows in for 7 weeks.

During this time I was moisturizing my hair every other day with my D.I.Y. leave in conditioner with rice water and green tea that helped boost my hair growth.
Rice water helps promote new growth and green tea prevents excessive hair shedding and I wanted to fight that because I have noticed my hair was shedding a bit more than the usual.
