Alright, 'Vampire Diaries' Fans! Time to get excited, because The CW has just released the first promo for the fourth season and it looks like things will be pretty intense, but we expected this, right?

In this brand spankin new promo, we see that Elena isn't happy about her new vampire state, get a preview of a steamy scene between Tyler and Caroline and find out that some new characters will be getting in on the action!

While we all love the vampire action on the show — another thing we adore is that stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are actually a couple. Nina recently opened up about her BF during her 'Seventeen Magazine' photo shoot, and we can't help but say awww ... she mentioned how she tried to fight feelings for her costar, but eventually had to give in!

Season 4 of the 'The Vampire Diaries' begins October 11th on the CW!
