TEKKEN 8 LING XIAOYU - ANTI CLIVE GUIDE

The fourth and final character of season 1 has arrived, it is Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI!

In this guide, you will learn how to
-deal with his key moves
-punish him correctly
-use Xiaoyu's toolkit
-handle Clive's stances

In general:
While (SSR) AOP is not very useful in this match due to Clive's long reaching sword attacks (he has a lot of good mids), B1 on the other hand is very strong in this matchup. When Clive enters his Phoenix Shift stance on block on +6, we can interrupt all of his potential followup options with b1 which is amazing. On hit, we have to be careful though.

In general, this matchup seems to be tricky for Xiaoyu due to Clive's incredible range attacks and tracking. Getting the life lead back can be difficult, we should focus on smaller Tekken (pokes and lows and not too many mixups and stances) in this matchup.
