"Photovoltaics is revolutionary. It is the only way we can use primary energy directly on the vehicle, with a short circuit between nature and mobility. HySolarKit has been patented by our research group and can be applied to every front drive car, reducing fuel consumption and emissions and increasing performance and acceleration. In this way, our car can be assimilated to an ecological vehicle, accessing limited traffic zones."

"Front wheels are powered by the original internal combustion engine. Two electric motors of seven kilowatts are integrated in rear wheels and connected to a lithium battery. The motors during braking and down hills contribute to recharge the battery, recovering the energy usually lost in traditional cars. The battery is also recharged for free by flexible solar panels of three hundred watts on the roof and the hood, both driving and in parking."

"The kit will be sold at about 3,000 euros ($3,273 US). The investment can be restored in about three years. But please consider that this kit also enhances performance, acceleration and handling of the vehicle, thanks to four driving wheels. About the funding, we have successfully candidated our project to the first phase of Horizon 2020. Together with industrial partners (Landi Renzo, Actua and Solbian) we have recently applied to the second phase, that could bring our prototypes to the industrialisation phase."
