This is a list of steps to take then you find a grounded baby bird.

1. Always make sure that the parents are not feeding and checking on the chick before interfering

2. If the Chick is injured, it has to be brought to a professional wildlife rehabilitater IMMEDIATELY.

3. If the nest is displaced and visible, you can try to but it back if possible.

Always contact a rehabilitation center near you for placement and advice on the chick, but if the baby is in your temporary care, there are four steps to take.

Keep the chick in a dark environment to reduce stress.

The chick must stay warm so it can continue to properly digest food.

And a quiet environment is a calming environment.

All of this can be achieved with anything as simple as a shoe box (as shown in the video)

Lastly, while the baby is in your care, DO NOT give it food or water. The chick needs to be able to adapt to the food at the rescue, and water can drown or spill on the baby causing hypothermia.
