I decided to visit Cadgewith Cove and have a therapeutic walk after spending time painting in St.Ives. The colours of the thatched cottages and the brilliance of the sun,flowers,the coastal path, and the sea made it a perfect day for a visit. Fortunately Cadgwith was not too crowded and that helped me to relax and kind of chill out. I actually felt quite inspired by the scenery! Cadgwith is a fishing town with many boats on the harbour and also many seagulls which are perhaps more willing to consume fish rather than ice creams and pastys. It is not a big town but also it is visually very beautiful and very quaint(quaint a much used word). So I gobbled up quite a bit of scenery with my camera and went north on the coastal footpath. I usually go south towards the Lizard Penninsula but this time I went walking north on the coastal path which was quite easy to walk along. There were lots of butterflies(which I like)! The sea was very calm and very blue. The sunlight at this time year is quite intense as the days get longer. Hopefully I can do some paintings from the video images, Doing the walks is actually very addictive. I feel to paint Cornwall one has to get out and experience the Cornwall ambience. It refreshes my spirit, helps my physical health and is very good exercise as long as one is careful when on some of the rugged areas. There is so much to explore- so much even to discover in the natural surroundings! It makes it hard to stay indoors especially in the summer! I do have some problems with my camera having a fast zoom unless I very gently press the button and I do like zooming in on views to see distant objects more clearly which otherwise I would find hard to see. It's kind of fun and not too complicated.
