First Ride: 25 BHP Yamaha R15 V3 180cc Track Spec Build (Work In Progress)

Описание к видео First Ride: 25 BHP Yamaha R15 V3 180cc Track Spec Build (Work In Progress)

This is the first ride of my Yamaha R15 V3 project bike in nearly two years, and its first time out since we bumped up the engine capacity to 180cc from 155cc.

Do not expect performance runs/numbers in this video - that's just not what is happening here.

All I am doing is transporting the bike from one workshop to another, where we will continue work on it that we were supposed to do in March. But even this first ride gives me an idea of what the new engine feels like - and it does feel a lot more powerful than stock.

The handling has gone up a notch too since I am using upside down front forks and lower clip on handlebars from the international spec model of the R15 V3. What also aides handling is the use of Metzeler M5 tyres (110/70 front and 150/60 rear).

To know how I built the engine, watch this detailed video of the full process:    • Yamaha R15 V3 Turning Into 183cc Trac...

To know what all parts will go on the bike next, watch this:    • Yamaha R15 V3 Track Spec Build Update...

To know more about the upside down suspension, watch this:    • Yamaha R15 V3 Upside Down Suspension ...

To know about my braking upgrades (320 mm wave rotor, Brembo RCS 15 master cylinder and Adelin 4-pot front brake caliper), watch this:    • Project Yamaha R15 V3 Brake Upgrade: ...

And these are all the parts that went on the bike in Phase 2 of the build:    • How I'm Building A 183cc, 25 BHP Yama...

There are more Yamaha R15 videos that I made over the course of two years on this channel. If you own this bike and are looking to make changes to yours, I'd recommend you go through these videos - they should be able to provide good insight.

If you have any doubts, feel free to drop a comment below. I'd try my best to respond.
