Lake Samonsonvale will not disappoint.

Located right next door to the suburbs of Joyner, Warner, Whiteside and Petrie, Lake Samsonvale may be in the heart of Moreton Shire’s busiest population hubs, but it feels a whole world away.
There is so much to explore in this area from a paddling prospective so plan to be there the whole day.

Being part of the water supply there are zoned areas which are no go for paddlers and these are marked with yellow buoys.

To make it easier we launched from Forgan Cove , and on entering the water turn left and literally follow the lake's bank to undecover instagram worthy coves and inlets.

There is a multitude of bird life and on the day we paddled we saw two large eagles circling above us and hear the constant chatter of bird life as we paddled through the coves and inlets.

Pack plenty of water as I don't remember seeing a tap to refill water bottles, however there is a great area to wash down your boards (which is strongly encouraged ) to prevent the spread of any aquatic weed etc.

As well as paddling and kayaking there are loads of walking and bike tracks around this area and there is loads to explore so I would recommend packing a picnic lunch and heading out and spending the day exploring this area.
