Thanks zos for long loading screens. :)
After u41 I've had long loading screens in instanced content (dungeons, arenas, trials, etc.), but only with specific doors/portals/gates. I have since resolved the issue since, but at the time of playing this dungeon I didn't know the solution yet, and I was trying different solutions that I could think of, so yea minecraft graphics was one of the things to test.
This run is a bit old, we did it shortly after the dungeon dropped. The dungeon itself is pretty decent, not too hard, but not boring, although I really didn't like the rng of trash before first boss, it might be nice for RP reasons, but having adds in some weird spots and getting stuck is just not fun when you try to optimize. We definitely could've improved this record, considering we had better runs, but lack of time and trying to do some other things kinda left us with no time and in general it wasn't the greatest run we did.
For the run itself, well first trashes are a bit rng, can lose or gain some time depending how the adds are positioned and if they do some stupid stuff. First boss is a pushover, which isn't bad, had some slightly better nukes, but +/- 1-2sec is the most you gain here.
Trash between first and 2nd boss is a bit annoying because you can end up getting stuck in combat and some adds (mainly archers) can be a bitch with running away and hiding.
2nd boss we could have played 10sec faster, but we did a lot of things incorrectly, if we were to do it again, I would definitely make a call when we should start the nuke in 2nd phase. Unfortunately the boss can't be nuked or at least we found no way of doing it, since even if you push the boss to 0% hp, the construct will still go to the middle and heal, even if you prevent him from healing, he eventually just jumps to 70% hp, so thanks zos, that like 10 people that run dungeons won't be able to nuke it.
After 2nd boss I again had insane loading screen, meaning I couldn't even arkasis for the group. This RP part here is too long, can't speed it up either in any meaningful way.
The rest of the trash is straight forward, we split a bit to speed it up.
Last boss is pretty fun, I was on a barrier duty when stacking all 3 minis, simply to make it safer, it's not necessary, but it is definitely more consistent, because there is a lot of incoming damage and the extra ult didn't speed up that room all that much, but it made it much harder to survive. In fact many times it would be slower because we would have to cancel beams, etc to not die instead of just ignoring mechanics (mostly) and burning the minis).
We played 50%-0% phase pretty poorly and overall lost like 10sec on this boss to what we could get but, still the goal was sub 9min and we got that. Could probably save another 20sec by cleaning up some stuff without any major changes. There are some tweaks like on 2nd boss that I could see saving us some time + few other things, but nothing major.
