"On the Run" single from Cardiff pop outfit, Private World.

Hailing from Cardiff, UK, Private World is the project of Tom Sanders and Harry Jowett. Described as a return to sophistication, the duo aims to transfer composition, texture, and spatial balance to the pop discourse with their music. The past year has seen Private World release a number of digital singles such as ‘Chasm’ and ‘Crisis Era’, along with the release of the ‘Passage’ EP on Burning Rose.

Private World joined the Dais roster this summer and have been in the studio working on their debut album slated for release in in 2020. As a preview to the lush, refined and melodic sound of Private World, we’re releasing the beautiful ‘On The Run’ single to coincide with the announcement of Private World’s signing to Dais Records.

‘On The Run’ showcases Private World’s ability to balance complexity and simplicity within their songs – demonstrating their mature and evolved grasp of composition and effective pop songwriting. Each line captures the romantic isolation of their dreams being “on the run”…endlessly wasting time in pursuit of hopeless ideals…
