This is one of the trains that has 2 reversals and 3 loco changes in its route.

Kevadia - Chennai SF got delayed during its reversal at the technical halt of Dabhoi Jn and reached Vadodara about half an hour late with BRC WAP7 #30642.

At Vadodara, the train was given a fresh link of 39065, yet another BRC P7 to haul it till Pune Jn. As a Special train, it did not have halts and Valsad and Vapi. The train now runs as 20919 / 920 Superfast Express and has halts at both Valsad an Vapi.

The 20919/20920 Chennai Central–Kevadiya Superfast Express is a Superfast train belonging to Western Railway zone that runs between Chennai Central and Kevadiya in India. It is currently being operated with 20919/20920 train numbers on a weekly basis.

The train has LHB rakes with max speed of 110 kmph. The train consists of 18 coaches:

Both trains are hauled by a Vadodara Loco Shed-based WAP-7 (HOG)-equipped locomotive from Chennai to Guntakal, from Pune to Kevadiya and vice versa. Both trains are hauled by a Pune Loco Shed based WDP-4D locomotive from Guntakal to Pune and vice versa.


The train shares its rake with 12947/12948 Azimabad Express and 20953/20954 Chennai Central–Ahmedabad Express.


Kevadiya railway station (station code: KDCY) is located in Kevadiya, Narmada district, Gujarat, India. Kevadiya railway station consists of 3 platforms.

Facing the Narmada river, it is 7 kilometers away from the small town of Kevadiya. The construction of the station aims to make the Statue of Unity more accessible to tourists. Kevadiya railway station is located at a distance of just 5 kilometres from Statue of Unity.
