Aprilia Tuareg 660 Repaired - Missing Part from Factory

Описание к видео Aprilia Tuareg 660 Repaired - Missing Part from Factory

I purchased a 2023 Aprilia Tuareg 660 in April of 2024. During the break in mileage I noticed a small oil leak that appeared to be coming from the counter shaft seal. I took my bike into to my local dealership for the first service and for the oil leak to be evaluated. My local dealership convinced me the oil I was seeing was chain lube and not engine oil. I am not a master mechanic so I took what they were telling me on face value.

I tried to ride my Tuareg to California to visit a friend and do a long distance trip. On the way to California the bike began to leak more and more oil as I traveled. The oil leak became so bad I had no choice but to leave the bike with Spirit Motorcycles in San Jose, CA for a warranty repair.

The repair took two weeks which forced me to fly home waiting for the repair to be completed. Five weeks later I was able to return to San Jose to pick up the bike and ride home. The necessary repair was unexpected. It wasn't the seal but another problem that it had when it left the factory. Watch to find out what the real problem was necessitating the repair.
