Heat Transfer Song

Here is a song I created to help my 6th grade students study. I hope you enjoy.

Heat is transferred three ways, Oh, oh

Always moving from hot to frozen, Oh, oh
Moves better through some material, Oh

Convection's how energy in fluids will go
When liquids or gasses are heated they grow
As it expands and rises from the floor
Cool air is going down, going down

Radiation, waves are traveling through space
Conduction, heat through solids, Oh
Convection- they are currents
Radiation- the spectrum
Conduction, Yeah, it's touching, Oh Yeah

Electromagnetic waves go through space, Oh, oh
The sun comes down with all its rays, Eh
Heating an object transferred by waves, Yeah
Examples- a campfire and microwaves, Yea..eah

The spectrum is radio through gamma rays
You feel the rays of the sun on your face
Since there's no air or water in space
Radiation brings the heat, to this place

It happens when substances directly touch
Conductors will make the heat travel faster
Good ones are copper, iron, steel, silver
