This is track 2 from the 1964 album "I Know I'm In Love".
Sister Josephine James is best known for being the sister of the late Rev. Cleophus Robinson. She was the seventh of nine children born in Camden, Mississippi to Coleman and Lillie Robinson. When she was 12 years old they moved to Canton, Mississippi. She was converted there and baptized in 1940 under the pastorate of Rev. G. Grant.

Her talent was inherited from her mother, aunt and uncle, Rev. L. A. Hamblin, who were all great singers.

In 1947 she moved to Chicago and found a job as an elevator operator in a local department store. It was during that time that she joined the Five Queens of Zion and sang with them for several years.

In the 1950's she joined the Lawndale Interracial Baptist Church pastored by Rev. C. S. Hampton and sang lead in the choir. During this time she also accompanied her brother, Rev. Cleophus Robinson.

Sister James now resides in Chicago with her husband, Lorenzo James. They are parents to five children, Joseph, Roosevelt, Jeffery, Jerome and Patricia (Holloway).
