How gothic lolita fashion subverts and supports the male gaze

So today I'm rambling about the male gaze and feminism within lolita fashion.
I think it's interesting how a fashion built upon women doing what they want without a male gaze meets commercial conventions like photography. Which relies on aspirational semiotics and male gaze isn't uncommon.
Analysing some good old Angelic Pretty, Metamorphose, Moi meme motie with how pop stars are presented is something I fins interesting.
