#How do I reset my HP 310 ink tank?
Resetting the printer can clear the error state.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the power source.
Wait 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer. note: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,
Reset the printer.
Unseat the printhead.
Remove the ink cartridges, and then check the error message.
Clean the ink cartridges, and then check the error message.
Update the printer firmware.

Clean the printhead:
Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
Gently remove the printhead and clean the electrical contacts using a soft cloth or cotton swab dipped in distilled water.
Reinstall the printhead and plug the printer back in.
Try printing a test page to see if the issue has been resolved.

Can you manually clean a printhead?
You can also clean your printhead manually. To do this, turn off your printer and tear one sheet of kitchen roll or a paper towel in half. Then, open the top of your printer and locate the rubber roller that transports the paper through the printing process. This is where the printhead runs over when printing.

Insufficient or lack of airflow can cause problems with your printhead from clogs to dried ink and more. The air nozzles can become blocked in the same way your printhead itself can, from dust, lint, or ink.

How do I know if my printhead is damaged?
If you are seeing light banding, which can be light lines going in the direction of the printhead, you should try a Head Cleaning, as one of your printheads may not be firing correctly. Missing dots or lines also indicate that many nozzles are missing to fire/ print.

If the printhead assembly sustains damage or is incompatible with the product, you might need to replace it. Replacement printhead assemblies are available only from HP Support or authorized service providers. Go to HP Parts Store.

Life of a printhead is directly depends on printing value. High flow of color from printhead can destroy it very soon. So, it has been noticed that text prints with normal text can print around 30000–40000 pages in a lifespan.

Firstly, go into the HP Solution Centre (HPSC) on your desktop, going to Settings, then Status, View Ink Levels, and finally into Device Services. If this does not work, try going through the HPSC, Settings, Print Settings, Printer Toolbox, Device Services and select Clean Print Cartridges.

Load A4-size plain paper in the printer. Press the button to turn off the printer. Turn the printer on while holding the button down, and then release the buttons when the power light flashes. The nozzle check pattern is printed.

When the power light stops flashing, print a nozzle check pattern to confirm that the head is clean and to reset the cleaning cycle. If print quality has not improved after repeating this procedure four or five times, turn the printer off and leave it alone overnighthp 315 printer 0 error
