OAuth, testing, and the path from prototype to release

PostgreSQL contributors Jacob Champion and Kashif Zeeshan share the story of bringing OAuth (federated authentication) to Postgres 18—from the first proof-of-concept and a four-year mailing-list thread to testing, scope cuts, and the realities of open-source timelines.
