Dr. Kimberly A. Jones, Curator of 19th-Century French Art at the National Gallery of Art, presents an illustrated talk placing artist Mary Cassatt among the French Impressionists. Presenting a survey of the artist's distinguished career, she discusses how Cassatt lived her adult life as an American in Paris.

Dr. Kimberly A. Jones received her PhD from the University of Maryland. A former museum fellow at the Musee national du chateau de Pau and the Musee d'Orsay, Paris, she joined the curatorial staff of the National Gallery of Art in 1995. She has curated numerous exhibitions at the National Gallery of Art, including "Degas at the Races," "In the Forest of Fontainebleau: Painters and Photographers from Corot to Monet," and "Impressionist and Post-Impressionist Masterpieces from the National Gallery of Art," which traveled internationally, among many others. Most recently, she was the curator and principal catalogue author for "Degas/Cassatt."
