UEFA, in a bid to stop the creation of a European Super League, will expand the tournament, and with more games than ever before, the effect on the football landscape will be drastic. New rules are likely to see the true elite, like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, and Manchester City, rejoined by clubs which have declined from their earlier peak, like Arsenal, Milan, and Tottenham, while more European fixtures mean more money for the big teams, and potentially the end of competitions like the League Cup, important money-spinners for minnows.
