Don Michael Black Whiskey...Peruvian Whiskey?!?!?

Today we review a whiskey coming out of South America...this is Don Michael Black Whiskey Single Barrel!!! There is a Black corn found in the northern highlands of Peru that grows at over 10,000 feet above sea level, that is the corn found in this bottle of whiskey. The founders of this distillery ran a construction company and after building some stills for a client...they decided to try making whiskey themselves six years ago. This whiskey is totally different than anything we have had before and we were really please to be able to sample one of the single barrels(#316) at over 125 proof. The standard release is much cheaper BUT it is also not nearly as good, so if you see this on the shelf make sure it's a single barrel!! Cheers!
