At a poll rally in Chhota Udepur district, Congress vice president, Rahul Gandhi, promised loan waiver to poor farmers of Gujarat.
The Quint’s reporter reached the spot to cover the elections in Gujarat and was surprised by the fact that voters present in the rally had faith in Gandhi’s promise. They were sure that if he comes to power, he would waive loans for farmers in distress.
He said his party came out with a manifesto after consulting various sections of society, such as tribal communities, women and youth, and incorporating their demands.
