Bernina Gran Turismo 2022 'Day 0' & Motorsport Rendezvous: F50, Galaxie 500, 037 Stradale, Apollo S

It was really cool to attend the various events of the reborn International St. Moritz Automobile Week last year, and for this I could not miss this year's edition. Back in 1929 and 1930 the original International St. Moritz Automobile Week consisted of a rally, the kilometer race, a skill race, a concours d'elegance and the Bernina hillclimb race.

Bernina Gran Turismo was created in 2014 with the aim of keep the memory of this legendary Swiss hillclimb race alive. Since 2021 the organizers decided to celebrate the whole International St. Moritz Automobile Week of those two years with a selection of events which recalled the original ones. So that "Kilomètre Lancé" was born as the kilometer race, held on the Engadin Airport's runway, and 'Motorsport Rendezvous' as the new concours of elegance. This doesn't aim to be a traditional line-up of over-restored luxury cars, but more focused on racing and sports cars parked in front of Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains of Sankt Moritz.

This video is from last Thursday and Friday, which were the two days of technical checks and registrations for all the participants of Bernina Gran Turismo. Even if this mean it was quite a static part, there was quite a good coming and going of cars. Furthermore during those days there was no lack of engine starts and checks. As a conclusion after Friday's lunch, the participants moved to the top of Bernina Pass to get ready for the next two days.
