Twilight Princess is known for being dark. Queen Rutela strengthens this legacy, as she is the deceased Queen of the Zora people. She was killed by Zant in front of her own people, so that Zant's enemies know what happens if you oppose him. Her death causes sorrow among the water-dwellers, especially to her son, Prince Rali, who driven by longing for his mother flees from Zora's Domain. The ghost of the Queen appears before Link and guides him on his journey.
Queen Rubella's musical theme is basically the Serenade of Water from Ocarina of Time, but with a different part added in. The Fmajor7 to Em section is newly composed for the song, and fits in perfectly. Like many of the ocarina songs, it plays around with the Minor base chord to major sub-dominant tonality, which creates a majestic and yet mysterious atmosphere.

This arrangement was the first 72Hours arrangement every to be created. It was written several years ago in a basement, before the idea of a youtube channel was even born. It was the piece that eventually gave us the idea of playing Zelda music on the guitar, and finally led to us creating this channel. #Throwback
The major twist here is the triplets that we add in the second repetition. The guy to the right play some chord-appropriate arpeggios, supporting the slow melody. It's a simple arrangement (it's really old, after all), but we thought it was time for it to emerge from the shadows of Zora's Domain.
