Ka Dorjey Stakmo is one of the legendary singers of ladakh who has mastered all the genre of music be it folk songs of ladakh or modern songs of ladakh. There isn't any ladakhi who doesn't recognize his marvelous voice. He has sang in the first ever feature film of ladakh 'Santsams' and even today he is as energetic as he was back then and keeps singing on various occasion. He left his job and choose his passion for singing with the motive to preserve the culture and folk songs of Ladakh.
He encourages the young talents of ladakh, uplifts them, motivates them and has ever since became an inspiration to many young singers of Ladakh. Personally, for me he has been the best mentor ever, helped me whenever I needed and I feel lucky to have learnt a lot from him.
This song/mashup is a tribute to him for his marvellous voice and his selfless service imparted towards the upcoming singing talents of Ladakh. I hope in future too you will carry this selfless service in making the singing talents of Ladakh one of the most sought after.
