Graduating IT students or young IT professionals/freelancers with a maximum of 2 years work experience and are Filipino citizens will be eligible to join the XURPAS HACKATHON.

A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members per team will be allowed. Participation in the XURPAS HACKATHON is free of charge.

The XURPAS HACKATHON will revolve around a theme that will be announced on Nov 27, 9am via the official website/Facebook page of Xurpas Enterprise and via email to all participants registered. Teams may start brainstorming ideas and prepare their development environments before the actual start of the event at 5pm later that day.

Output must be a Full Stack API-centric Application (Web or Mobile) using a combination of any the following technology:

Frontend:
Angular
React

Backend:
Javascript - NodeJs, Express
PHP - Laravel or Lumen
Java - Spring Boot

Mobile:
React Native
Flutter
Ionic
Kotlin
Swift

Database:
MySQL
Oracle
PostgreSQL
MongoDB
Firebase Firestore/Realtime DB
Redis

5. Xurpas will provide AWS Hosting (details to be given on the day of the event).

6. Participants are allowed to use Open Source platforms and Cloud Services like AWS (Lambda, SQS, etc) or Google Services (use your own account). Use of these platforms and services should be disclosed before the final demo.

7. Every team starts coding at the same time. Coming into the competition with ideas on top of previous or existing projects is not allowed . Only concepts and mockups built on open source platforms that are public and available for use to everyone is allowed.

8. Projects will be finalized on Nov 28, 5 pm and will be presented before industry experts for judging. Final Demo and Q & A should be a max of 30 minutes per team. The final schedule per team presenter will be posted on the website during the event.

9. Winning team will be announced on Nov 29, 10 am and will take home Php 10,000 cash.

10. By joining, all participants agree to the XURPAS HACKATHON TERMS & CONDITIONS.

12. The HACKATHON should have a minimum of 3 participating teams on Nov 27, 9am. Falling short of this minimum requirement means either postponement or cancellation of the event.
