Beyonce has paid tribute to Lyric 'Yhung' Chanel after the Instagram sensation passed away at the age of 13.The 39-year-old songwriter posted a video to her YouTube account that featured a collection of the social media figure's photos and videos.The singer also recorded a medley of Chanel's favorite songs, including Halo, Brown Skin Girl and Love On Top. The hitmaker notably changed the lyrics of Love On Top as a tribute to the late social media personality, switching out the word 'baby' for 'Lyric.'Beyonce sang, 'Lyric it's you/ You're the one I love/ And you're the one I need...You're the one that gives your all/ You're the one I can always call.' The songwriter concluded her video with a message to Chanel and stated that 'I love you with all of my heart.' The performer first reached out to the social media figure in September of last year when a video showing the teenager singing along to Love On Top was posted to her Instagram account. In response to the video, Beyonce sent Chanel a bouquet and a kind note which partially read, 'I was so moved to see how these lyrics inspired you, not nearly as much as you inspired me.'I can't wait to meet you one day...you are a survivor,' the hitmaker added. In another video, Chanel was asked why the flowers had been sent to her, and she responded, 'because I'm a queen.' The social media personality went on to proclaim that she was a personal friend of the former Destiny's Child member.  Chanel amassed a following of over 600,000 on her Instagram account and listed numerous other celebrities as her fans, including Cardi B.She was known for her optimism and pleasant personality, which she maintained despite her medical condition. On Friday, ABC 13 reported that the Instagram figure had passed away after a lengthy battle with brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma.She previously underwent brain surgery last November to remove a tumor, although multiple new growths rapidly grew after the first one was taken out.The news station also reported that no funeral plans for Chanel had been set.
