Date when time was set: Afternoon of the 16th of August 2025
Carset Used: Sportscars 1971
Vehicle Used: Porsche 917 (all 4 variants, 917LH, 917K, 917K3, 917/20)
Track Used: Monza 1000k 1967 1000 Km. Di Monza (by Ginetto, John Basara)

This is a direct comparison of the 4 variants of the Porsche 917 around the Monza 10km Course, taking the fight to Ferrari at Ferrari's hometrack... no pesky Ferraris allowed just yet

This was a time set for the Groundhog Sportscar Challenge with testing the new mod out. the 917LH's lap was the fastest time set of anyone, though my 917K3 effort was beaten by about 0.3 seconds.

These aren't optimal laptimes, nor an optimal setup, but that's a work in progress for getting used to these cars.

The cameras used are partially edited by myself from the original track cameras, a few different angles here and there, some different zoom levels and changeover points to get a bit more of a cinematic view in parts

They really are really, really fun to drive though, they have the speed and aggressiveness required of the Can-Am 1971 cars, but are much smoother to handle like the 1967 Sportscars, almost the best of both worlds for speed and handling.

The weight and power of each car at the start was taken from the car screens within GPL

The next stop, I think I need to take the 908 for a spin on a tighter and twistier course, I wonder how fast it could go around the Targa Florio......? ;)
