Gondangdia is a sub-district in Menteng District, Central Jakarta, Indonesia. It has the zip code 10350. Gondangdia Station is located in this sub-district.
The origin of the name of Gondangdia village turns out to be several versions, including:
The name Gondangdia comes from the name of the Gondang tree (a type of banyan tree) that grows on wet or watery soil. It is possible that in the past there were Gondang trees growing in this area.
The name Gondangdia comes from the name of a water animal such as the Gondang conch. Which means big snail. It is likely that in the past there were many large conchs in this area, so people called this place by calling the name of the conch.
The name Gondangdia comes from the name of a grandfather who was famous and respected by the people around the village. This grandfather has a kondang name and is often also called Kyai kondang. Because he is famous among the village community, the name of the kondang grandfather is often mentioned and the community often associates the name of the place with the name of the grandfather, so it is called gondangdia (his famous grandfather).

Senen sub-district is located in Central Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia. This sub-district is named after Pasar Senen. In this sub-district is located Pasar Senen Station. Planet Senen (which includes Pasar Senen, Senen Station, Senen Youth Center, and Grand Cinema) is a gathering place for artists known as Seniman Senen.
The history of Senen begins with the opening of Senen Market by Yustinus Vinck in 1733. In addition to Senen Market, Vinck also opened Tanah Abang Market. Two years later he connected the two markets with a road, now called Jl. Prapatan and Jl. Kebon Sirih which was also the first east-west link in present-day Central Jakarta. After independence until 1975, Senen was the leading center of commerce in Jakarta. In 1974, the Malari tragedy destroyed Pasar Senen. Students at the time were angry at Indonesia's economic policy of dependence on Japan. And Pasar Senen was a symbol of the sale of Japanese products.

The Statue of Heroes, also known as Tugu Tani, is a bronze statue of a man and a woman located near Gambir Station in Jakarta.[1] The statue was made by two famous Russian sculptors, Matvey Manizer and Ossip Manizer, as a gift from the Soviet Union government for its friendship with Indonesia.[2] The meaning of the building varies in terms of symbols and history.[3]
In appearance, Tugu Tani is solid black with materials made of bronze. There is a figure of a woman, with a bun and wearing a kebaya, giving food supplies to a figure of a man who stands upright wearing a caping, a hat commonly used by the peasant class in Indonesia with a long-barreled weapon complete with a dagger.[1] This statue depicts a family who went to fight for freedom.[1] On the pedestal of the statue is written “Only a Nation That Can Appreciate Its Heroes Can Become a Great Nation”.[2] This statue is also known as the Tugu Tani.
