GOWIN FoC Motor Control Demo at Embedded World 2024

Описание к видео GOWIN FoC Motor Control Demo at Embedded World 2024

GOWIN FAE Jack Russell Bruce guides you through the benefits of using an FPGA for Field Oriented Control of motors GOWIN Semiconductors' stand, live from Embedded World 2024.

Field Oriented Control is a mathematical transformation method used to accurately control the position and speed of a motor with low noise, high efficiency, and quick dynamic response. The demo system utilises a Gowin Arora GW2A FPGA handling current control, encoding, ADC, and FOC current loop calculation, with a soft core Arm Cortex M1 which handles the serial UART interface to the PC. Benefits of using FPGA for motor control include using one single system to control multiple motors- providing a more integrated system, high reliability, low part count, and low noise.
