Killing the Butler releases a swarm of moths/flies that attack the player. These bees appear to be invincible. You can collect the kitchen knife if you kill the Butler. It seems the Butler targets players who are alone and is more easily evaded if you can lock him behind a door. The Butler's AI is unknown at this time, since the Sigurd log isn't loading.

Of course, all the above information is subject to change upon v50's official release.
