Manchester fiddler Andrew Dinan won the All Ireland Fiddle Championship in 1994, the first fiddle player from England to do so and was followed two years later by fellow Manchester fiddler Kevin Madden. Michael McGoldrick has been in various traditional bands over the years such as Toss The Feathers, Flook, Lúnasa, Arcady and Capercaille to name but a few.
