Takahiro Shiraishi is a serial killer who says he just wanted to help. Shiraishi claims that most of his victims were looking for suicide partners. He would find them on Twitter and send them a message asking to "die together." But Shiraishi had no intention of dying with his victims.

Japan has a high rate of suicide, and many suicidal people in the country don't want to die alone. They may search for partners through online forums and social media. Reports say at least some of the victims were suicidal and had reached out to Shiraishi. But Shiraishi's claims are still under investigation.
