With an extraordinary development trajectory, #India has achieved more than 100 GW of #renewableenergy capacity. However, to achieve the 500 GW non-fossil target by 2030, which was announced at #COP26, an orbital shift is required. This would require the country’s renewable energy sector to mobilize an unprecedented amount of capital over the next 8-10 years, necessitating the deployment of new debt and equity financing methods.
The workshop titled “Enabling the use of InvITs for Clean Energy Transition in India'' discusses how InvITs, a high-potential financing instrument, can be used by a variety of stakeholders. The workshop is being held at India Habitat Center, New Delhi.
