There isn't a more iconic bridge in the entire world. It's the most recognizable for its color, grandeur and often stunning foggy backdrop. New Yorkers will say The Brooklyn Bridge is more and better, but run the test. Show a random person pictures of 4 different bridges. The Brooklyn Bridge, Williamsburg Bridge, Verrazzano Bridge and The Golden Gate Bridge. 100% will recognize the Golden Gate Bridge. Less than half will decipher between the other three (even New Yorkers, and all 3 bridges are in New York.

The other bridge that we will shout out in this drive is the Bay Bridge, connecting San Francisco and Oakland.

Finally, between bridges, we explore Lombard St. It's known for its amazingly historic houses, views of San Francisco and its iconic turns. 8 hairpin turns in total.
