যত ঠান্ডা পড়ুক না কেন, শিশুকে পরিষ্কার–পরিচ্ছন্ন রাখতেই হবে। তার তার জন্য গোসলের বিকল্প নেই। কিন্তু এই সময় গোসল করালে তো ঠান্ডা-কাশি হতে পারে। তাই দুই দিকেই সতর্ক দৃষ্টি রাখতে হবে। নবজাতকদের জন্য এই সতর্কতা আরও বেশি জরুরী। অতিরিক্ত ঠান্ডা হলে, এক বা দুই দিন অন্তর গোসল করাতে পারেন। কুসুম গরম পানিতে তোয়ালে ভিজিয়ে ভালো করে শরীর স্পঞ্জ করিয়ে দেওয়া যেতে পারে।
