Unmet needs in screening for early onset colorectal cancer

Описание к видео Unmet needs in screening for early onset colorectal cancer

Elisa Fontana, MD, PhD, Sarah Cannon Research Institute, London, UK, provides an overview of challenges in screening for early onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC). Despite EOCRC typically occurring in people in their thirties, regular screening is only offered to people aged 50 or 45 in Europe and America respectively. Adherence to screening tests is also inconsistent in people and identifying high-risk patients is crucial to tailor screening for people susceptible to EOCRC. This interview took place at 2024 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Gastrointestinal Cancers Annual Congress in Munich, Germany.
