British singer, songwriter, record producer and designer Jacob Taio Cruz was born in the early ‘80s to a Nigerian father and a Brazilian mother in London, England. As a child, he looked up to his father and briefly considered following in his footsteps to become a lawyer. He soon realized that his heart wasn’t in it. What he was very much into was music.
