According to a statement shared by Bushra Bibi’s sister, Maryam Wattoo, Imran Khan had been experiencing blurred vision in one eye for nearly two weeks while in Adiala Jail. Despite repeatedly informing jail staff, no proper medical response was provided. A junior doctor reportedly acknowledged the seriousness of the condition but lacked the expertise to treat it. Doctors from PIMS later assessed the situation and warned that treatment inside the jail was not possible and that further delay could have resulted in permanent vision loss. Following insistence from PIMS doctors, Imran Khan was shifted to hospital. His condition has improved, though he has not fully recovered.

Meanwhile, a police crackdown was reported outside Adiala Jail as supporters from Punjab gathered in large numbers. Activist Mehr Abdul Sattar was arrested near the jail, allegedly subjected to force, and taken away. Protests erupted in his area in response, with family members and locals demanding accountability.

PTI leader Noreen Niazi stated that despite baton charges and arrests, supporters remain determined, announcing that February 8 will mark a nationwide show of resistance.

Aleema Khan expressed anger after learning that Imran Khan was taken to hospital without family consent and questioned why his medical reports have not yet been shared, despite court instructions. She urged immediate medical access under senior specialists and appealed to KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to close the province and form a clear strategy for Imran Khan’s release.
