Swaraj Express & Indore Intercity Express, a clash certainly of all time this feeling just cannot get a parallel for me, if you ask me any other feeling that could come even close to this is the feeling of Overtake at Bharatpur JN railway station in midnight but still nowhere near the shear feeling of standing at the door of my fav train 12415 Indore - New Delhi Intercity SF Express waiting for the green signal/clearance on the mainline of mostly Bayana Jn but sometimes at my fav railway station of all time Gangapur City JN & the eager waiting after getting that green, to hearing the honk of raging Swaraj Express gang at 130kmph, to the first sight of insanely bright LED headlights or even normal ones as the matter of fact & finally the rampage that induces shocks in my body down to very core & not to mention the after effects of that overtake pushing the adrenaline flow to maximum constantly giving goosebumps 2 or even 3 hours after the overtake is something only I can truly experience & is impossible to convey in words. So, even after the mission "SWARAJ Express gang" 130Kmph Overtakes is over our train journeys isn't & will never be until me & my fav train 12415 Indore - New Delhi Intercity SF Express exists, hence looking at the overall overtake mania of my fav train not just the overtakes of Swaraj Express gang but others as well, previously in February 2025 when the acquaintance of 12483 Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) - Amritsar Weekly SF Express, AKA one of the "Toofan" sibling train didn't go as expected with a sloppy barely 90-100kmph action at Bharatpur JN, I gave the "Toofan" yet another chance to shine like its other sisters (12217 Kerala Sampark Kranti Express & 22659 TVCN - YNRK SF Express), & it did shine too bright in fact that the overtake happened at Bayana JN itself right after the overtake of 12471 Swaraj Express as the Toofan was very closely trailing behind Swaraj Express running ridiculously before time, but back to story of Swaraj Express this chance I gave to 12483 Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) - Amritsar Weekly SF Express also came with yet another acquaintance of the leader, the impeccable captain of the legendary "SWARAJ Express gang", the majesty, the primo supremo, the legendary 12471 Bandra Terminus - Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Swaraj Express & if you still unfamiliar with its other sister here are those:
12473 Gandhidham JN - Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Sarvodaya SF Express
12475 Hapa - Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra SF Express, & last but definitely not the least
12477 Jamnagar - Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra SF Express, AKA Sindhu Express (my fav sister train of Swaraj Express gang)
So, the chance I gave to "Toofan" was a total knock off when I was going to my home New Delhi on the very first day of 2026, that is, on 1'st January 2026 onboard our usual train I was very skeptical about the overtake as the Winters are the most lethal hit to trains going to, or coming from North with dense fog & bunching of trains created due to crawling causing significant delays & what not. So, I was very very worried about the overtake & the fog did in fact hit the trains causing my train 12415 Indore - New Delhi Intercity SF Express to get delayed by about 40mins & same for Swaraj Express behind but not the 12483 Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) - Amritsar Weekly SF Express as its known as "Toofan" for a reason running way before time. Hence, when my train arrived at its usual spot for overtake Bayana JN about 35mins late Swaraj Express was just behind us & when I opened the door of my train the whole Bayana JN was covered in a thick layer of fog so much that the signal on mainline was barely visible shattering all my hopes for a fast overtake, but god sure knows to surprise me when I least expect it & that surprise this time was the fastest action amidst fog I ever witnessed in my life with the sparking like never before lightening up the cloudy & misty environment echoing through the surroundings.
So without further ado lets relish the impact of Swaraj Express amidst the dense fog on the very first day of 2026, overcoming all anxiety, skeptical feelings & worry I had for the overtake giving me a reason to never doubt the AURA of Swaraj Express gang even if all the odds are against the wall & even if the situation is extreme, when the Captain, the leader, the primo supremo, the legendary 12471 Bandra Terminus - Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Swaraj Express led by offlink from Central Railways (CR) Kalyan (KYN) WAP-7 39076 in lead cruising its way forward in dense fog with epic honking, the grunt of warm engine at below 10°C temperature & sky lightening sparking shocking the whole fog drenched Bayana JN & sidelined 12415 Indore - New Delhi Intercity SF Express at thrilling 125+Kmph action.
