Over R200 million has been allocated to renovate over 600 schools in dire need of maintenance and repairs in the North West.
The Basic Education Department says these maintenance projects have been completed in at least 94 of the earmarked schools.
At least R110 million has also been allocated for emergency maintenance projects for schools affected by recent storm damages.
