Action Should Be Taken Against Sameer Wankhede, Says Aryan Khan's Advocate Satish Maneshinde

On November 5, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) announced the handover of investigation of six cases including the Aryan Khan drugs case from its Mumbai zone to Delhi headquarters as “they have inter-state ramifications”. Sanjay Singh, the deputy director general of the NCB, landed in Mumbai the next day to lead the investigation. The development has led to the demotion of Sameer Wankhede, the Mumbai zonal director, who will now be assisting Singh in the investigation instead of heading the probe. Aryan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, was arrested on October 3 for possessing drugs while boarding a Cordelia cruise which sailed from Mumbai to Goa.
