How to stop a honeybee swarm and keep the bees in their hive.

My most successful honey bee queen was being prepared to depart by the workers, until... things changed.
In other swarming situations, I've managed to thwart the honey bee worker losses and may have found yet another method.
Once honey bees swarm and land on a nearby tree or some other structure, they are at the mercy of the weather.
BUT, as they prepare to swarm out of the hive, a change in the weather can indeed stop their departure plans, giving the beekeeper an opportunity to remedy the cause of the preparations in the first place.
