Damian Lillard. 2x NBA All-Star. All-NBA Second Team in 2016. All-NBA Third Team in 2014. NBA Rookie of the Year in 2013. Culture setter. Ask anyone who has covered the league, Dame sets the culture. He brings his guys together, he works as hard as the guy at the end of the bench trying to stay on the team, and he actually encourages and lifts those guys up. Basically, he is the General keeping his Soldier in the Game. D. Lill. averaged a career best 27.0 points per game in the regular season, while shooting 44.4% from the field (also a career best). That number was good for 6th in the league, better than DeMarcus Cousins, LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant. That number remained consistent despite facing the World Beater Golden State Warriors in the playoffs (27.8 points per game). Point being, when Dame is running the point, there’s a chance he could hit a shot, and start to get hot. All of a sudden, you’re in the middle of a Heatwave, and it’s already over because an offensive Onslaught is oncoming. To clarify, that's Onslaught with The Letter O.

Dame is “Different On Levels the Lord Allows.” Dame DOLLA is money, and makes the Blazers better with his ability to lead. His influence not only gets the rotation guys to stay ready, but because he unites the team, they ALL become better. As a result, the team gets an extra life, a 1Up if you will. It’s because of his leading from the front that Dame is the franchise guy. The entire Trailblazers organization believes in Dame, and he knows that belief is fueled by the grind…which ultimately comes from what you feed the mind. It’s not hype, it’s just reaping what you sow, and like the opposite of a full stomach, it’s his hunger that fuels them to go. With stats like Lillard’s Top 10 in Offensive Box Plus/Minus, Top 20 in Win Shares (16th), Top 20 in terms of Value Over Replacement Player (19), this dude is not only a star, he’s a stone cold killer.
