Pop'n Pop ポップンポップ -- All 15 Rounds of Puzzle mode, with hardest settings

Описание к видео Pop'n Pop ポップンポップ -- All 15 Rounds of Puzzle mode, with hardest settings

Info on the recording & special thanks are listed at the bottom!
This is NOT a score run! The hardest settings have been chosen for a higher level of challenge.
First of all, this video is a mixture of 5 different replays which were done to cover all rounds of the game mode. When you finish a round, you can choose a path between Left or Right, thus there's a total of 15 rounds from A to O, but you can play only 5 of them in one sit.
Because I wanted to show you all the rounds in alphabetical order, you will find mismatched score passing from round A to round B, from B to C, etc.; all the replays are preserved and can be verified in future (see bottom).

Pop'n Pop can be seen as a game that gathers Space Invaders enemy movement, with Puzzle Bobble mechanics, with the addition of notorius Taito characters from Bubble Bobble, Kiki Kaikai, Don Doko Don and The Newzealand Story.
Shoot balloons to match at least three of the same color, pop empty and thunder balloons by popping others next to them, don't let balloons cross the red line, use chain reactions to stun bosses and fill quickly special balloons gauge; unuseful balloons can be discarded in the void but that will cause clouds to move faster for a while. Different characters have a different sort of power balloon, in this video Bobby's main power is to push back clouds by 2 rows.

NOTES ON THE GAME DIFFICULTY
Difficulty is affected by two factors: game course chosen by player, between Beginner, Normal and Hard (this video features Hard course); and game difficulty settings (these replays are set for, and played with Very Hard settings).
As you can imagine, once you enter in Service Mode, set your configurations and save them, then the game should run with what you've chosen. This is not always the case for Pop'n Pop.
Whether that is a bug on the emulation or even the real hardware, once in the attract mode, when demo starts the How to Play scene, difficulty is RESET to Normal, and after the scene it isn't restored to whatever you choosed. Moral of the story, if you want to play at a Difficulty setting that is different from Normal, do NOT let the attract mode play after the title screen.
There is a way to understand which is the difficulty actually in use, you just have to look at which row clouds start from, then how many turns they take to step down the first row. The starting row is not the same for all rounds.

Special thanks to my friend JCK for making a video for me, as my PC is too weak in performances to record a video.
JCK also prepares and uploads many more interesting videos for Arcade Extreme Italian community at    / arcadeextreme
and for another Italian arcade gaming community called MAME Retro Avengers (forum: https://www.mameretroavengers.com/ YT:    / mameretroavengers   ) of which I'm an active member.
Original INPs can be provided on request. (The inputs are there for the only purpose of verification. You are not allowed to recreate a video on your own without my permission - which you won't have - or to use them for any other intention.)

You can find serious SCORE runs for this game, on MARP at these pages: http://replay.marpirc.net/r/popnpop for Puzzle, http://replay.marpirc.net/r/popnpop-vs for VS mode.
Note on playing this game for score: It is possible to reach counterstop in Puzzle mode. I almost made it once but the process is really boring and takes several hours of no mistakes.
