Helmetdiving demonstrations during the furieade 2019 movie

The Furieade is a nautical event at Maassluis, the Netherlands. It started 40 years ago after recording were made for a Dutch television series called "Hollands Glorie". The series were made from a tug called Furie. Since then, the home port of the Furie became Maassluis and every year more and more tug gather at this event. Since 2011, the Dutch Working Equipment Group (and later the Historical Diving Society the Netherlands) joined forces with the crew of the Bruinvisch, a former diving and salvage tug. The Bruinvisch served in the Dutch estuary and in the Suez canal and was a base for helmet diving operations. The combination of helmet diving from a former helmet diving ship is our way to keep the helmet diving history alive.
