A group of travelers in Keelung had a nightmare stay at a popular 3-star hotel in the port city. In just one night, they had to change rooms three times. Apparently, the first room they were given smelled of smoke. But while inspecting the second room, a section of the ceiling crumbled and fell onto the floor, narrowly missing them. So they were moved to a third room, but there, the trash can in the bathroom was full of trash. The hotel apologized to the guests, offering them a box of fruit jellies and two coffee vouchers, as well as a refund and an apology. Let’s hear more.

We did renovations a few years ago, and it seems the construction workers didn’t finish the projects properly. We’ve asked the company to carry out an investigation.

The hotel says the ceiling collapse was likely due to a bad installation during a recent renovation. It is thought that the vibrations from opening and closing the door caused the concrete to loosen and fall apart. Though the hotel says it will conduct repairs, the incident has scared off many potential guests.
